Return Policy

All consignment sales are final. No refunds. 

All new items are eligible for refund within 7 days of receipt. Return requests must be emailed to info@transitionsequestrian.com. The item(s) must arrive back in the same condition sent with the original tags attached.   If you are requesting a return outside of this window, the item does not have original tags, has been damaged, or has excessive use no refund will be given.

NOTE: Shipping will not be refunded, and return cost is the responsibility of the customer.

All items are sold AS IS, with no warranties. Transitions Equestrian strives to describe every item and its condition accurately so you can be confident in your purchase.  Please note that any product defect must be addressed with the manufacturer.  Due to the nature of Transitions's business, we do not have a relationship with distributors and therefore cannot accept returns based on product defects. 

 

Criteria & Conditions For Consignment

At Transitions Equestrian, we are very selective about what we accept into consignment. That’s because we want our customers to be confident in the quality of whatever they buy from us. For that reason, items accepted on consignment at Transitions Equestrian are limited to:

New with tags: Brand new, with original tags. Please note some new with tags items may have some dust or marks from storage. 

New without tags: Brand new, never worn, but missing original tags. Some new without tags items may also have been in manufacturer packaging without tags having ever been attached to the garment itself. 

 

ITEMS WE CANNOT ACCEPT INCLUDE:
  • Grooming Supplies 
  • Helmets (new or used)
  • Anything with custom monogramming
  • Tall boots without a full length stretch panel or zipper
  • Blankets (unless new with tags)

Pricing & Commissions

Because we want items to sell quickly, we work hard to make sure they are priced fairly and competitively. We research all items and base our selling price on several things including:

  • The original retail price of the item
  • The current retail price of the item (i.e. is it now on clearance everywhere?)
  • Condition of the item
  • Brand, style, and current demand for the item

Transitions Equestrian receives a 30% commission* for our consignment services. 

Any item not sold after three months from receipt will be eligible to be reduced in price by 50%.

Any item not sold after six months from receipt may be returned to you or will be donated to an applicable charity. It is the consignee’s responsibility to inquire about the status of items and to make arrangements to have them returned to you if you do not want them donated.

Once an item has been sold, Transitions Equestrian will send out a check at the beginning of the following month detailing the items that have sold. Feel free to email us to check on the status of your sale items.

Alternatively, we will be delighted to donate your portion of the proceeds of the sale of your items to a charity of your choice.

SHIPPING COSTS: We will deduct shipping costs from the sale of items split evenly over the full order. This is never to exceed 10% of the selling price.
